PTL. The new year 2008 has arrived and with it, more blessings in abundance. Our church in Melaka aptly sums it up using this year’s theme from Philippians 3:12-14 – Pressing Forward.
Joo Kuan has been tremendously blessed and at present working in Melaka on the beautification and rehabilitation works for the Melaka river. He oversees the construction works at the river mouth and attends meetings with the mayor once a month to report on the progress. Generally, workwise it has been rather routine and family quality time has greatly improved since Joo Kuan returned to Melaka.
Kwee Hong has laid out her plans for the coming year and believes that she would be able to get the quota from her general and life insurance business for the year. Kwee Hong too has been blessed with good health and generally keeping fit.
Bryan will turn twenty this year and has just finished his first year degree program at MMU. He hopes to do even better for the next year and will complete his degree by 2010.
James is into his exam year sitting for his PMR this October/November 2008. He has to be more disciplined in his studies schedule and cut down on his computer games and television programs. He will be fifteen this year.
We quote from Proverbs 10:22 ‘The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.’ God has been kind, gracious and full of mercy and we believe that as we continue to walk in His ways, He will continually guide us. Proverbs 3:5-6.
We pray likewise that all of you will similarly seek His ways and be blessed in abundance.
