Two great events.

Last Sunday we were blessed by a thoughtful speaker who introduced two special events that happened sometime ago. I shall let you guys read all about it in my good friend's blog at http://ivanfoo.blogspot.com/ . The first one was entitled 'Pearls before breakfast' and is indeed a great humbling experience for a well known musician. And the second one was of course by a participant on Britain's Got Talent...read all about it.....

An update.

PTL again for His faithfulness. We have been blessed with so many blessings, be it financially, spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally, the Lord has blessed us in abundance.
Joo Kuan has been blessed with a new posting in Cyberjaya. He has been kept busy at work and workdays he is presently staying in KL and at home in Melaka for the weekends again. He is presently attached to a consultant firm overseeing the infrastructure developments in Cyberjaya. He is currently employed by the master developer of Cyberjaya and seconded to the consultant.
Kwee Hong too has reached her quota for the year and currently planning a holiday trip to Kuching for the coming Chinese New Year holidays. She too has been blessed with a new car, Perodua Myvi, a locally assembled 1.3litre car.
Bryan is into his final semester year at present and going to complete his final year with excellence.
James has finished his exams for his PMR (Form 3) exams and hopefully to do well in his exams. He is expecting his results after Christmas.
PTL, we have all been blessed in abundance. Proverbs 11:28 says “Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.” Indeed, with the current economic situation in the world today, we are blessed to have a God that provides, our Jehovah Jireh.
May the Lord continually bless all of you.

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord.....
They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8. Indeed, an excellent reminder to us that God is always in control no matter what the world is going through...

Restoring broken relationship.

Relationships are always worth restoring. Especially in our cell group, we accept each other. There is nothing like loving one another no matter what background we come from. God has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships. God blessings.

Cultivating a community in church.

Community requires commitment. Our cell group exemplifies our commitments we make. It is indeed a blessing to be a member of a group that cares for one another and showing respect for one another.

We need others in our lives.

Life is meant to be shared..God intends for us to experience life together. The bible calls this shared experience fellowship. My cell group will be having a BBQ at church this Friday combined with another cell group. We hope to have a great time fellowshipping......

A place to belong.

You are members of God's very own family, citizens of God's country, and you belong in God's household with every other Christian. Ephesians 2:19b... Indeed, we are called to belong, not just believe...... Food for thought....

We were gathered to praise God and to witness to our faith as we celebrated the life of Mr.Chua Cheng Chye. Amen.

A ship anchored in the harbour.

Had my cell group meeting last night. One of the members put forth a noteworthy comment that indeed life is full of challenges. 'How nice if everything was smooth and rosy', the member said.
However, the incident reminded me of an illustration of a ship anchored in the harbour. It is indeed safe and secure in the confines of the harbour , but that is not what a ship is intended for. Through trials and tribulations, we are indeed refined by our creator as gold is refined through the fire.
