Family Update.

PTL, We finally finished a roller coaster ride for the last month. James was blessed with exemplary results for the SPM and was initially sent to Kolej Matrikulasi Perak for his pre-U studies under the PSD scholarship. Our appeal went through last week and James will be starting his Foundation studies in Science this Saturday before continuing his studies for the Pharmacy degree in Taylors University at the Lakeside Campus, KL.

We thank everyone for their support and prayers during the period when we were not sure James would be selected for his desired course of study. Just last week, James has been blessed with the confirmation from PSD and hopefully will complete his course in five years time. PTL.

Bryan still is attached to his company at Bukit Jalil but has to work on shifts. He's happy.

Kwee Hong has joined Joo Kuan in JB and hopes to take a rest after taking care of the kids for sooooooo... long. We are healthy.

We thank you everyone for your friendship and fellowship over the years and hope to continue to update you on our whereabouts. In all things, give thanks.

PTL for His faithfulness. As in Deuteronomy 8:18, it is He who gives us the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant.

Joo Kuan has started work already in Johor Bahru for the Medina-Iskandar project under Ranhill Consulting Sdn Bhd. He stays a few kilometers away in a cosy apartment nearby his work area. As usual, his weekends are scheduled to be in Melaka but Kwee Hong has decided to join him on and off in JB. Joo Kuan is keeping well.

Bryan has nearly completed one year of work for an IT-company in KL. He still stays in Dengkil with his friend and commutes daily. Weekends are almost always spent in Melaka. He keeps fit by running.

James has finished his SPM exams last year and awaiting for his results which will be due March 2011. He has taken his car lessons and hopefully pass his driver’s test by this month. He will decide on his next course of action after he receives his SPM results.

Kwee Hong has been busy taking care of the three ‘boys’, one in KL, one in Melaka and another one in JB. Coupled with her insurance business, she has been kept busy.

We had a vacation as a family early last month in Hong Kong and all of us have been blessed in every way by our good Lord. Our wish for all of you this coming new year would be to continually look up to Him for His guidance and abundant blessings.

We wish all of you a Joyful Lunar New year 2011.

The Lord has been good to us. In His grace and mercy, He has provided in abundance all our needs. He is indeed our Jehovah Jireh, our provider.
Joo Kuan has been with the developer in Cyberjaya for nearly two years now and has adapted well with his colleagues and the company. He is still staying in Dengkil, Selangor which is about ten minutes drive to work in Cyberjaya. He works a six days’ week before going home to Melaka for the weekend. He also attends a weekly cell group meeting at Seri Kembangan in Serdang, Kuala Lumpur every Thursdays.
Kwee Hong has been kept busy with James’s schooling and tuition activities. Although Kwee Hong and Bryan were diagnosed with the dengue fever and had to stay about a week in hospital in August this year, we thank God that indeed, He has pulled us through this particular trial. Workwise, Kwee Hong has managed to reached her quota for the year and hopes to do better come next year.
Bryan has already graduated from MMU and currently works as a systems engineer in Bukit Jalil, KL. He is also staying with me in Dengkil.
James is now in Form 5 and hopes to do well in his SPM examinations.
PTL, we have all been blessed in abundance. As in Deuteronomy 8:18, indeed God gives us the ability to produce wealth through His convenant.
May the Lord continually bless all of you in abundance.

It has indeed been a fast-paced first half of the year for my family and I. We have been kept busy with our individual activities. As the Lord has been faithful to us, we too must likewise be faithful to our God, our Jehovah Jireh. In His grace and mercy, He has provided in abundance all our needs and even our desires according to His will.
Over the year, we have witnessed a few of our Christian brothers and sisters who have passed away and ‘absent in the body’ but present with the Lord. We thanked the Lord for these exemplary Christians who have lived a purpose-driven life and have excel in their work for God’s kingdom. Among them was my primary school headmaster, Mr. Chua Cheng Chye and lately Dr. Kuan , a doctor practicing in Melaka.
As an update, Joo Kuan is still with the developer in Cyberjaya and has adapted well with his colleagues and the company. He is still staying in Dengkil, Selangor which is about ten minutes drive to work in Cyberjaya. He continues to work a six days’ week before going home to Melaka for the weekend. He still attends a weekly cell group meeting at Seri Kembangan in Serdang, Kuala Lumpur every Wednesdays. He is indeed blessed to have a stable work environment in the midst of the global financial crisis, which is also affecting the nation.
Kwee Hong has been kept busy with James’s schooling and tuition activities. We thank God for His provision of the new car as she ferries James to and fro school and also James tuition lessons. Workwise, Kwee Hong anticipates a challenging half year ahead but with God’s help she hopes to do well.
Bryan is doing his industrial training at present, before going back to MMU to finish his final semester three months later.
James is in Form 4 and has done well in his academic studies. He still enjoys his favourite pastime in front of the TV or the computer.
Overall, as a family, we have continued to be faithful to the Lord and the Lord has indeed been faithful and blessed us in abundance. We pray that as we continue with our journey in life, you too will experience the Lord’s love and faithfulness in your lives and thank Him. (Proverbs 3: 3-4)
May you continue to win favour and a good name in the sight of God and man.
